Concert stream OverTiere with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra

On May 9, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, led by its new principal conductor Hansjörg Schellenberger, performed the concert stream “OverTiere.” The animal-themed benefit concert from the hippo house of Berlin Zoo, where the legendary Knautschke once lived, will feature musical bears, hens, bumblebees and, of course, the swan from the ‘Carnival of the Animals’. The program will include works by Franz Schubert, Ludwig von Beethoven, Jean Sibelius, Camille Saint-Saëns, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and others.

Donations are requested for the new ape house at the Berlin Zoo or for the Berlin Symphony’s ‘Music without Borders’ education program.

The stream can currently be “re-watched” online. Simply tune in at www.berliner-symphoniker.de!
